“Did you?”
“Tish, don’t you dare use that tone with me. Come back to Amritsar.”
“Mom, my life is here. Mumbai has always been my dream destination, and finally, I snuck a good job. I won’t leave everything and come running back because you put your mind to overuse.”
“Tisha. I have been on TV. I know what the limelight is. And… you have already gone through… I… I just want you to lead a normal life now.”
“It was just for a commercial. I am not even a model. Ray wanted to use a natural face and convinced me to be in front of the camera for a thirty-second commercial. I am not interested in the glamor world, and you know it.”
Mom huffed, but I waited.
“Fine. I am planning to come next month to Mumbai.” She said after a few seconds of silence.
“Great. Is Mr. Chopra joining you?”
“He is busy.”
“So, you will stay with me?”
Mom sighed. “Yes, dear. I will.”
“Give me the dates. I will take a few days off. We can go out and have a good time.”
“Sure, let me ask Armaan about the dates. I will let you know. Dear, tell you poor mom that you are eating.”
Of course, she couldn’t even book a ticket on her own, but I ignored it.
I rolled my eyes at her words. I could, as my mother couldn’t see it. She knew about my meals more than me, but she always cross-checked. “Yes, mom. Three meals a day. Snacks in between. Also, fruits. I am following the ritual.”
“Follow the routine without fail. Don’t miss the gym.”
“Four days a week, getting trained by the personal trainer you assigned for me. Also, taking the Krav Maga sessions you put me into.”
“Good to know. See you, baby. Call me if you need anything. Should I send some money?”
“Mom, I work. I earn. You have already got me this magnificent three-bedroom house. You handle all my food and utility expenses. Nothing else is required.”
Mom let out a long sigh, passing the clear message that she hated my answer. I was doing everything I could to appease her. She bought this apartment from the whooping alimony of her first marriage. She made Armaan pay for my personal trainer. I mean, the exclusive Matthew Ricks was training me. He was a celebrity trainer who charged a bomb. Yet, mom managed to get him to be my personal trainer.
Tisha and Aisha are perfect besties who seem to have each others back. The confusion that it comes with regarding her dismantled family. The chapter was perfect
This is pretty tricky
Loved the chapter 1 and the bond Tisha and Aisha shares. Excited to see how the party scene goes and the entry of the male protagonist, Aayansh Ahluwalia 💗 😍
Absolutely enjoyed the conversation between mother and daughter. Curious to know about Tisha’s secrets.
Overall loved the first chapter 🤩
Thank you!
