“Aisha, honey, you have done great with your life. I am proud to be called your friend.”
“I know.” Aisha winked, emitting a splutter of laughter from my mouth.
I loved Aisha as she was the most sought-after practical girl I had met. She was a model still struggling to find her footing, but she bagged an assignment or two every month, which helped her stay afloat. She didn’t have to pay rent.
My caretaker managed the food, and we had no clue how he bought the food without asking us for money, but he did. Yes, I had a caretaker, perks of being Manya Chopra’s daughter.
I did ask him once, but he just dismissed it with a wave of his hand. We let it go, and now, Manek would come in every week and stock up our fridge with healthy food. All we had to pay was for our life outside.
Countless times, I suggested speaking to mom, but Aisha wanted to do this on her own. I second her decision, but then contacts were important in her line of work. Along with talent, luck was also essential in the glamour world. While she had the first, she was struggling with the latter. So, I wanted her today at this party. This might work wonders for her.
Growing up in an orphanage, she was used to doing things on her own. I was with her, so I let her do her thing while always ready to hold her hair while she puked after having another wild night.
Aisha didn’t want to be called an alcoholic, but I knew she was. After two glasses of wine, she couldn’t resist and stop but went ahead and polished off bottle after bottle.
I whistled as she put on her purple cocktail dress. It barely covered her thighs.
My eyes trailed over the snake tattoo on the right arm. It was one of the things that attracted me to Aisha when I met her in college. Because of her excellent grades, she had got transferred on a full scholarship to my college.
After two years together, we became best friends and had a blast. She had been part of my dark days and often blamed herself. She couldn’t comprehend how serious things were until it was too late, and I got hospitalized. I shivered at the memories. But those days no longer possessed me. I was a different person now.
Tisha and Aisha are perfect besties who seem to have each others back. The confusion that it comes with regarding her dismantled family. The chapter was perfect
This is pretty tricky
Loved the chapter 1 and the bond Tisha and Aisha shares. Excited to see how the party scene goes and the entry of the male protagonist, Aayansh Ahluwalia 💗 😍
Absolutely enjoyed the conversation between mother and daughter. Curious to know about Tisha’s secrets.
