“I am so excited.” Aisha gushed.
“For a change, me too.”
“Oh, my God, he got to you. Wow! Before even meeting him, you are smitten by him. He is so handsome, right? I wish he would still play cricket. I would love to see him in action.”
“Rumors are he hasn’t touched a bat after he took his early retirement.”
“Hmm… poor him. Losing his career while being at the number one position.”
“Yes, poor him. The loss destroyed him. Just see all the destruction around us.” I said, sarcasm dripping from my mouth.
“Oh, please. The rumor is whatever A touch turns to gold. Is that true? We read this story in childhood but never heard about it in reality.”
“If you have a checkbook with unlimited zeros, anything is possible.”
“Who are you to say anything? Your dad is rich. Your stepdad is somewhat in Aayansh Ahluwalia’s league. Ask us what money means.”
“Oh, stop now. Grab the phone and call dad. He will help you out.”
“This one thing I want to do on my own. I don’t want anyone’s help, Tish.”
“And I respect that.”
Finally, the cars moved, and it was our turn. I unlocked the trunk and waited while the security did the check. There were two dogs, and they sniffed the car.
“German Shepherd!”
“What?”
“The breed. These dogs are dangerous.”
“Hmm… has he gone crazy?”
“Hype. The guy is all about hype. He never goes anywhere without his butlers. He only travels in his private jet. While we took three hours to reach here, he daily uses his helicopter to reach his office.”
I grinned as Aisha went on and told me all about A. I knew, but she knew more, and I wanted to know as much as possible, so I heard everything and deposited it in my mind locker.
