“What does Ray want you to accomplish from him? He is nowhere in his league, and putting you in front of him is not a wise decision. Ray is a coward.”
I sighed, the tension finally creeping inside and rolling through my body. It was a hell of a job, and I had no clue how I would fulfill his request.
“A contract,” I whispered, but my eyes stayed on the floor.
“Are you insane?”
“Aisha.” I reprimanded her for her crazy loud tone. Her loud voice, along with the blasting music, was okay. But not now, especially when we could get thrown out before we even got a chance to go inside.
“People stay away from him for a reason. I thought Ray just wanted his time and was using you because of your name and fame.”
Yep. I had heard that. Aayansh was aloof, worked twenty hours a day, and was a sex God, or that’s what his hookups said.
Aayansh never met them again, and the female population important to him never got to see his dick. It was either the hot, mind-shattering sex or his friendship.
Tamanna was his sole friend, and I wondered who she was.
Aisha made a disapproving noise in her throat, and I turned to stare at her. What do I say to her that would appease her?
“I know, but it’s just a contract. I will talk to A, show him how good we are, and once I get a green signal from him, I am out of his vicinity. I am prepared for this. Have been preparing for days.”
Aisha burst out laughing, not even stopping when I gave her my best pointed, pissed-off look. Finally, after minutes, she gathered herself. “You think you can play A.”
“I have to try, or mom’s words will come true. Ray said, my job is at stake.” I whispered.
“Prick.”
I nodded. “Gossips are always overrated and exaggerated. Aayansh may not be that bad.”
